We’re incredibly proud of our team at Ticketmaster Sport, made up of a support network of experienced and passionate professionals all dedicated to ensure that our sports clients (and their fans) get the very best service and experience. So in a move to further strengthen our client account management team, we’re delighted to announce the promotion of Daniel Ryan to Head of Client Account Management. We talk to Daniel about this exciting new move and his aspirations for his new role.

Tell us about yourself

I’m an outgoing, determined and dedicated ticketing professional with over 14 years experience. For the last 8 years I’ve held the role of Systems & Product Training Manager for Ticketmaster Sport, training our extensive client base as well as helping clubs come up with new ideas and ways of maximising the ticketing systems capabilities to maximise sales.

What drew you to the world of sport?

Sport has always been my passion since a very young age. My earliest memory was my Dad taking me to see my first Luton Town FC game at the age of 4. Ever since that day, I was hooked. I started playing football at age 5 for my local Beavers group all the way up until I was injured at 17. Since then the side-line or TV has been my home to watch as much football as possible. I’m also a massive boxing fan and have seen over 40 live fights across Europe. My aspiration when I was younger was always to be a professional football player, but to now be working in a sports-dominated environment, with some of the best clubs in the world, is an incredible privilege.

Any career highlights to date?

I am so lucky to have quote a few I could mention! One of my absolute highlights was being a part of the team that trained over 1,000 staff for the London 2012 Olympics & Paralympics. Seeing that come to fruition during the Games and witnessing millions of people entering the venues was a deeply humbling and proud moment for myself and the team. I’ve also been lucky to work on a number of other tournaments including Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Game where I lead the training of over 500 staff and the Rugby World Cup 2015 where I was responsible for training over 350 staff.

Outside of tournaments, I really enjoy welcoming new clients to the Ticketmaster Sport family and being part of their crucial onboarding experience. Seeing the stadiums full on their first events with us has and always will be the main reason why I enjoy this job so much.

Why Ticketmaster?

Ticketmaster is a recognised and trusted name in the ticketing business and for fans, myself included, it has always been the number one destination to discover live events and buy tickets safely, securely and easily. I spent 5 years working at a football club and was very familiar with Ticketmaster’s highly specialised sports technology and was impressed by their services and approach. Joining Ticketmaster Sport was the natural next step for me and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

What are your aspirations for this role?

In my new role as Head of Client Account Management at Ticketmaster Sport, I will be focused on continuing to deliver an exceptional level of service to our existing and future client base. I believe that not only is Ticketmaster Sport at the forefront of sports technology, but that our Client Account Managers are the best in the industry. We’re incredibly lucky to have such an experienced, knowledgeable and passionate team behind us and and industry experts on hand to help them through any challenges they may have with their business.
