Ticketmaster Sport has climbed eight places in the prestigious Sports Tech Awards Annual Power List, a recognition of the company’s dedication to innovation and excellence in the sports industry. Now ranked 41st, this achievement underscores our position as a leader in developing technology that enhances the fan experience and supports sports organisations worldwide.

In 2024, Ticketmaster Sport has enhanced digital ticketing solutions, including new features such as Away Ticketing, Ticket Exchange and Ticket Forwarding to further improve the experience for fans around the country. Ticketmaster continues to invest in products like SafeTix to reduce ticket fraud and ensure the safety of fans and clients at sporting events.

“Being recognised among the top tech-driven companies is a testament to Ticketmaster’s relentless innovation and our unwavering dedication to fans and the sports industry. We continue to push boundaries, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance the fan experience and empower our partners in the world of sports,” said Chris Gratton, Managing Director of Ticketmaster Sport.

The Power List, compiled by an expert panel, has been celebrating organisations at the forefront of technological innovation in sports since 2020. The rankings evaluate companies for their ability to drive change, create meaningful impacts, and set new standards in the industry. This year, the National Basketball Association (NBA) claimed the top spot, exemplifying the global reach and influence of tech-driven solutions in sports. McLaren’s Formula One team, Apple and Amazon made up the top-four most innovative organisations in the sports industry.

“The Sports Technology Power List is the ultimate industry guide to the brands shaping the future of sport and sports innovation. It’s the list the industry watches—and aspires to be on.  This year’s rankings were determined through a rigorous process that combined AI-powered analysis of all past results, expert insights from The STA Group team, and a final verdict from a small yet distinguished jury. Being featured is a testament to the groundbreaking innovation and impact Ticketmaster Sport brings to sports technology. Brands like this are redefining the future of sport,” Rebecca Hopkins, CEO of STA Group.

The 2025 Sports Tech Awards will be held in London in Spring 2025, with the shortlist announced at the beginning of the New Year.
