Ticketmaster is already the ticketing partner for the Welsh Rugby Union, and now our resale marketplace Seatwaveis the official place to buy and sell tickets for games if fans missed out or can no longer attend.
Ticket resale isn’t new, however this collaboration between the WRU and Seatwave ensures that fans can be confident they are transacting in a secure environment, in addition to increasing flexibility for fans and keeping money within the Welsh game.
Fans and clubs (for whom limitations apply) are free to price tickets as they see fit, and will receive guidance in the selling process as to what prices are likely to sell (excessively over priced tickets simply don’t). Fans and clubs are also free to sell tickets at face value or less – tickets go on sale a long time before match days and there are lots of reasons why people may be unable to attend a game, on the other hand many fans want to be able to buy tickets for games at short notice – Seatwave and the WRU are now facilitating this.
Safe and Secure
This partnership between Seatwave and the WRU will provide protection to WRU member and district clubs and fans who want to resell their tickets, or purchase a ticket to a game they missed out on. Seatwave is the only WRU approved resale marketplace; all sales completed on the site will be officially verified by the WRU so fans can be assured the tickets are valid.
Although Seatwave is a marketplace we provide a full customer service for both buyers and sellers. This means that there is someone at the end of the phone or replying to emails throughout the week. All this is underpinned by our pioneering Ticket Integrity guarantee.
Giving back
As part of this brand new arrangement, Ticketmaster will invest in Welsh rugby. This means that as well as buying and selling tickets in a secure environment, fans will know they are also helping to support grass-roots rugby in Wales.
