It's been the culmination of many months' work across mutliple teams, but Ticketmaster Sport have helped to deliver another hugely successful tournament for both client and cricket fans alike. With 31 matches taking place at multiple cricket venues across the UK, the tournament concluded yesterday, Sunday 23 July 2017, in a thrilling clash between England and a world-class Indian side. It was a close match as both sides vied for the title but in the end it was England who took home the trophy in front of a sell-out 27,000 strong crowd at Lord's Cricket Ground. It's been a record-breaking tournament all-round, both on an off the field, with a reported global TV audience of more than 50million, record runs and innings and higher than average tickets sales than any previous World Cup* which only serves to prove the sport's ever increasing popularity.
