Sunday 2 April 2017 saw the culmination of many weeks work here in the Ticketmaster Sport team, preparing, selling and fulfilling tickets for the Checktrade Trophy final in which Coventry City and Oxford United battled it out to reign supreme.
The final was a display of the best of Ticketmaster services with sales being made online via Ticketmaster technology supported by phone sales through the Ticketmaster call centre. The Ticketmaster fulfilment team also played a leading role dispatching efficiently and quickly tickets for a match that beat all records for a Football League Trophy with attendance at a record-breaking 74434 !
This was the highest attendance for the competition since Wembley reopened in 2008 and one of the highest attended matches in Europe over the weekend, with only Manchester United and Bayern Munich drawing larger crowds as fans enjoyed a sun-drenched trip to Wembley.
